But become a guide to how we should live, take responsibility for ourselves and for other.
It is the cornerstone of our education. We bring up people who like, want to and know how to act locally, nationwide as well as globally.
We learn together how to live among people. By getting to know new people, unusual places, by carrying out projects – we also learn, as if “by the way,” how to respect and understand others.
Our campaign “Bone Marrow Saves Life” involves our students’ uncompromising and passionate struggle for better social awareness concerning leukaemia, for more marrow donors, and against stereotypes concerning this illness. Our students deliver presentations I many schools for their peers and stage spectacles that move the hearts of everyone in the audience. They also act as volunteers registering new potential marrow donors in the national database.
Together with our pupils and parents, we act on behalf of the local community, supporting artistically gifted children and teenagers, organising aid for disadvantaged families and for the Polish minority in Belarus. We take part in social campaigns organised for the benefit of the poor and needy, children’s homes, hostels for homeless people, and animal sanctuaries. We prepare help packages for those in need.
Together we learn to overcome barriers. We teach that every person’s chief virtue lies in their actions, and that every creature deserves to be helped.
We also promote an environment-conscious lifestyle, using eco-friendly hand dryers instead of tissues in the school toilets, teaching the culture of recycling and installing energy-saving lamps.
